Mortal Monday - MK 1: SNES vs Genesis

The year was 1992. Arcades were already saying its name like an unstoppable conqueror, and the beast was scheduled to enter homes very soon. Mortal Kombat was its name, and it promised to transform September 13th, 1993 into Mortal Monday. The title landed on the SNES and Genesis with plenty of praise, but a line in the sand was quickly drawn between fans of the two consoles over one small yet earth shattering question: which port is the best?

Mortal Monday - Remembering The Good Old Days

We’ve all heard the hype about different companies interested in buying up Midway, buying up Mortal Kombat, and possibly splitting everything to pieces as Midway goes down in flames. It’s true that there will probably be more Mortal Kombat games in the future, but will it ever feel the same again? What if the MK team that we know today doesn’t work on the future titles? The MK that we know today may never exist again, and it’s left me daydreaming about the gaming days of old.

Mortal Monday - Surviving Ultimate MK3 Online and How Not to Be A Douche

Playing Mortal Kombat online isn't exactly something new any longer, but it was definitely something that the hardcore fans dreamed about back in the ‘90s. Even though it is pretty cool to play Deception, Armageddon, and MK vs. DCU online, the desire to play the oldschool titles online is definitely still there. Thankfully, Xbox Live has answered our demands.
