So without further adieu, let's get to know MikeV18 (He will be in a series of 3 "Get To Knows" featuring the blurrypron cast. The Questions are alike but I didn't want to put a wall of text so I just split the interview into 3)

1. Age? Gender?

23, Male.

2. What brought you to ScrewAttack?

Dukey was posting there a lot and told me about it. I wanted to show others my work (Which at the time was only Downloadable Content!) and get opinions and feedback from it.

3. What your favorite piece of your gaming collection?

My original NES. Sure it might be cliche to say that but really, when the new consoles let me down I can always lean on that thing to keep me going until the next big game.

4. Whats you favorite game or games?

To be honest I have trouble picking favorites. I very much enjoy Final Fantasy 7. I've played that game over and over more than I can count. But I don't know if I could say it was my favorite. If anything it's my favorite PS1 RPG title haha

5. What's your favorite console? I grew up with a SNES and if I could get one back with the old games I had then that would be it for sure. I'm also a sucker for the PS1. 6. Where were you born and raised?

a small town in Saskatchewan, Canada where all there is to do is hang out and do nothing. A farming community of 1200 where 600-800 people are old haha

7. What g1 blogs do you check up on?

All kinds, (PREPARE FOR NAME DROPS!) I frequent blogs from the following: HybridRain, Elmo 3000, Debaser, ChefProtoss, the PM9K crew, Most DTT blogs, CyborCat, LeeIsStillGaming, KainKusanagi, FarmboyKenny, and the list goes on and on. I read almost anything I can and tend to throw out feedback where it's appropriate.

8. Who's works in other forms of media do you enjoy?

Videos, Music, Movies, Games.. Slideshows? hahaha I like most anything.

9. What are some of your favorite non gaming hobbies?

I LOVE paintball. I enjoy hanging out with friends and doing stupid things for people on the internet. I like to joke around and not be serious. Also I enjoy making fun of people. Dont judge me.

10. If your life was a comic book or video game what would be your super power or expertise?

Weirdly enough I was asked this the other day and I would like the power of flight. No more cars or traffic or anything I'd just fly wherever I wanted. Heck yes I would.

11. What is your favorite Subject (School)?

Wellll I'm not in school anymore. But I sucked at Math. Always have.

12. Who is your favorite game developer?

I look forward to anything coming from Bethesda Studios. They've made enough epic games to make them someone to look forward to nothing but awesome from. Them and Blizzard.

13. Where do you spend most of your time on ScrewAttack?

The Blogs mostly. I enjoy reading other peoples work. Theres a TON of talented people on there.

14. What's you Gamertag? PSN Name?

Both XboxLive and PSN I use the name inf1n1ty86 I also use it online for TF2 and the like. I have a wii but I never go online with it. Friend Codes are "teh sux0rs"

15. What game have you spent the most time on?

I've put a ton of time into a lot of games. FF7 takes the cake overall.. but Fallout3 has sucked almost 200 hours of my life away. WoW also did that to me too... *shudder*

16. What's your favorite game that came out recently?

I'm really enjoying inFamous and Ghostbusters right now. Very good games.

17. What's your favorite video game character (that you can relate to)?

I don't know if theres a video game character I can relate to.. I enjoy RPG's and most main characters from them. Although I don't have a favorite.

18. No one knows I can ____?

I'm sorry I got nothin here. I'm like an open book theres really nothing funny to say here haha

19. Whats your favorite Movie?

Again with the favorites, I don't really have one, but I just watched The Hangover last week and it was awesome. So it's my favorite for June 2009 haha

20. What is one thing that you would change about ScrewAttack?

I believe it's already been rumored, but I'd like to see something to do with the points. Discounts buying at the SA store perhaps??

21. What video games story/plot really made you connect to the game?

inFamous had an awesome plot. Just some guy with some bad(Or good?) luck. Check it out sometime.

22. What game would you really enjoy to have put onto the big screen?

Oh please give us ANY game movie that DOESNT suck. Please please please. Metal Gear would be an awesome movie if done right.

23. With E3 just happening here is a series of questions pertaining to the event, What 5 things are you most excited about?

Uncharted 2, God of War 3, Left 4 Dead 2, FF13, and Modern Warfare 2.

24. What 5 things are you least excited about?

Natal and motion controls for the ps3 are tied at 1 and 2, most htings that go with that.. any wii peripherals and the price of games went up 10 bucks (Not at E3.. but it still sucks.)

25. What company/developer caught your eye this year?

Ubisoft and EA rocked out some awesome stuff.

26. With every console soon to be having a motion control or some type of "non standard controlling system" are you looking forward to being able to experience playing games in different ways or do you enjoy the couch and standard controller method?

I hate the fad of motion controls. Can I please just play games like a normal person and not have to pretend I'm driving or something. Not for me. I dislike it.

27. Have you subscribed to netflix because of the inclusion on the 360 or are you waiting for the movie base to expand?

I haven't but mostly because I believe they work differently in Canada than in the US. Not to mention I dont get my movies through services like that.

28. Who won, who lost, and what surprised you the most?

Sony and Microsoft had great conferances. Nintendo let me down again with the exception of the new metroid and mario galaxy. Metroid was DEFINATELY suprising. Especially coming from team ninja.

29. what is your take on exclusive titles, do you want each system to have their own respective titles like it was in the last generation of games, now we have MGS coming to the 360 along with FFXIII, the ps3 getting the likes of Ninja Gaiden, and well the Wii getting more accessories for the accessoriesthat they already have.

Exclusive titles are a dime a dozen. The worst thing about them is once the contract expires they go multiplatform anyways. As a person who owns all 3 consoles it doesn't matter much to me. I guess if I had only 1 then I'd be more choked.. but whatever. No big deal for me.

30. Of the two handheld consoles which on do you see as the more dominate of the two and offers the best features and has the widest array of GOOD games?

(of the two which one do you own?) I own the DS, no PSP. and really.. handheld games aren't my thing. I feel they are overpriced for half of the quality of a full games. Theres a bunch of decent games but nothing i'd rush out to the store for.

31. What would you like to be announced a next years E3?

If we never got any more motion controls I'd be happy. Not that it would happen. I'd like to see Nintendo release more games like Donkey Kong and their staple titles. Enough with the wii sports and wii fits.

32. Now with the slew of E3 questions over, what made you decide to start making videos?

I've always been interested in video making. When I got the chance I ran with it, found out I enjoyed it more than I thought and kept going with it.

33. Do the prices of games that appear on the Xbox Live Arcade or PSN influence your opinion on purchasing them? (ex. people will not spend the money for castle crashers, puzzle quest, flow, and everyday shooter)

To a point. If the game is worth it then I'll pick it up. I passed up both Penny Arcade titles because of their 1600 point pricetags, The watchmen game also fell in that pot too. I bought Castle Crashers because that game was wicked and totally worth the purchase. Peggle was too.

34. What all shows do you actually put together or work on?

Right now I do the following: Downloadable Content, Sixty Second (And Classic) Reviews, Renters or Buyers, New podcast: The High Horse and Soon to be new review show: The Verdict.

35. How did you meet up with the rest of blurrypron? Do you ever get stressed about getting a show or podcast done?

Well I've known Dukey since we were like 6 years old. And Bubz is my littler brother. I never get stressed about getting a show or podcast done because we work at a lax schedule, not to say things dont get updated regularly, but we have backup content ready to go should something not get put out in the right timing. This way we can always release things for people to see and still hit our deadlines on time.

36. Do you see a reason for all the the specific guitar hero and rock band games (ex. The Beatles, Aerosmith, and Metallica), or would you rather harmonix or red octane just release those bands through DLC?

I'd rather them do it through DLC but really it's the same thing.

37. What is you favorite video blurrypron has put out?

Dragon Warrior: The Spoon the Sword and The Hot Dog is by far my favorite. We worked for about a month on the whole thing and it really came out the right way.

38. If you could have a pokemon follow you around or just have which one would you choose?

I would waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaant.... A pikachu probably. Cute and girl attracting, yet deadly and electric bwaahahaha

39. What video camera, capture card, and editing software do you use ?

Welllll I don't have a Camcorder.. I have to use my digital camera to record video and it sucks. But thats what being poor does to you haha. I use my Pinnacle Dazzle for video capturing with Pinnacle Studio 12 to bring it it. Then I import into Sony Vegas and edit from there.

40. To rent games do you use a service provider such as gamefly, go to a store, or do you not even rent games?

I rent from Blockbuster mostly, Sometimes I use Movie Gallery/VHQ. Other times I'll just buy it. Depends on the price of the game.

41. how long does it usually take you to write, film, and produce a segment?

The longest ones to work on for me are Downloadable Content!, If I get the audio recorded it takes me about 3 days to video capture, edit and produce the video.

42. What would be your dream job?

I'd like to do blurrypron for a living.. It'd be awesome.

43. where would you like to see your content go in the future?

To as many people's computers as possible.

44. Do you have any true passions you are ashamed to talk about?

Uhmm... Jackin it?

45. Would you say poutine is a large factor of your diet?

I love poutine. Not a large factor but maybe a small one. Whats not to love about gravy and cheese?!

46. What is the rarest game that you don't currently own but you want?

Hmmm.. I'd like to own a bunch of rare games.. An original copy of FF7, the full Final Fantasy set, the full dragon warrior set.. Some atari games.. some of this some of that.. I just like games in general.

47. Is there a games AI that you would actually like to play with?

Most AI's suck ass. So I can't really think of any haha

48. what game or peripheral recently impressed you?

Ghostbusters is very impressing, assuming you're a fan of the movies.

What would you like to say to the community?

Hopefully this gave you a good view into what I'm about. I didn't mention anything about long walks on the beach or soft sensual kissing because it didn't fit into the questions. I'm a frequent on Chris Hansen's television shows and We're tight like spandex. Sometimes I lay awake at night just thinking about how stars are God's salt and he's just getting ready to eat us. We don't wear the tinfoil hats as a fashion statement, more of a Anti-Alien product, aaaaaaaaaand That's about all. I hope this was both educational AND entertaining.
